What if it’s True?

One fact that sets Christianity forever apart from every other religious system - You just have to go to the tombs of the founders of the great world religions and call the roll:

Mohammed… “Here!”
Buddha… “Here!”
Confucius… “Here!”
Jesus Christ… No answer, because He is not there!

Which religion is the right religion? How can you be sure?

Christianity is the one true way to God because the tomb is empty.

What if it’s true? If Jesus is who He claimed to be, and if the Creator really does care for us - then everything depends on our willingness to trust Him. If Jesus is God in the flesh - then apart from Him - we will never know real joy, real meaning, or know real peace in this life. He is our Creator and He seeks a intimate relationship with us. By dying on the cross, Jesus paid the penalty we rightly deserve - forever removing the roadblock between us and God.

As a result, the only thing that now separates humanity from a pathway to God is unbelief.

Carefully consider what the Bible says…

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18

So the question is, do you believe?

God has provide for us divine forgiveness, mercy, and peace - because Jesus willingly took our divine punishment, the result of God’s righteousness against sin. The Bible says “For the joy set before Him” (Hebrews 12:2) - Jesus endured the cross on Good Friday, knowing it led to His resurrection and our salvation. Every person on earth must respond to the truth about Jesus Christ, to the facts of His birth, death, burial, and resurrection.

Please consider these three things…

First, if you are a believer in Jesus Christ, thank God and remember that He has opened your understanding - through His Word and by His Holy Spirit - that you are able to comprehend who Jesus Christ is.

Second, as a believer in Christ, go forward from this moment on and do as Jesus told His disciples to share with others that…

“It was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations,” Luke 24:46-47

Share this good news you have heard and received!

And thirdly, if you are unsure of your salvation through Jesus Christ - pray and ask God for help. Isn’t it amazing, to think, that you can just come to God and ask Him for help?

Pray for God to graciously impress upon your heart the truths about Jesus Christ - to enable you to believe in Jesus and to receive Him as your Savior.

The Bible says,

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” John 1:12

We have God-given rights to receive and become children of God.

We just have to ask! Now that’s good news.
